On July 15, 2026, a meeting took place between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Turkmenistan, Ms. Fariyal Leghari, and the Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan, Allaberdy Saparov, the International Information Center of Turkmenistan reports.

During the conversation, the parties discussed prospects for developing bilateral sports cooperation. Noting the high level of friendly relations between the two countries, the Pakistani Ambassador presented the Turkmen side with official "Trionda" footballs, manufactured specifically for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This gesture served as a symbol of strengthening the partnership in the sports sector and solidarity during the tournament.

Ms. Fariyal Leghari also announced that a professional series ball had been presented to the President of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, Guvanchmuhammet Ovekov, as a sign of deep respect for his contribution to the development of national football.
