Today, a meeting entitled “The Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan — a High Example of Peace, Unity and Solidarity” was held at the School for Training Young Olympians of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports, jointly with the “Olimp” Secondary Sports School.

The meeting was addressed by Ovezmuhammet Atalyev, Acting Director of the School for Training Young Olympians; Nurmuhammet Atayev, Chairman of the Primary Youth Organization of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports; Guljahan Amanova, History Teacher at the “Olimp” Secondary Sports School; Tawus Akmyradova, Turkmen Language Teacher at the School for Training Young Olympians; as well as student-athletes.

The speakers spoke in detail about the significance of the upcoming regular session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, which will be held on the eve of celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the sacred Independence of Turkmenistan, in the year proclaimed “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses".

It was noted that the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan is a platform where the most important decisions of national significance and strategic directions of the country’s foreign and domestic policy are discussed with the participation of the people. Over the years, its activities have been improved in accordance with the requirements of the times, and as a result of the large-scale reforms being implemented in the country and the initiatives of the Hero-Arkadag, the status and powers of the Halk Maslahaty have been further strengthened.

The Halk Maslahaty is a clear expression of the people’s full support for the distinctive, peaceful and democratic path of independent Turkmenistan. The activities of the Halk Maslahaty, which are being further developed through the initiatives of the Hero-Arkadag and the tireless efforts of the Arkadagly Hero Serdar, will continue to serve the prosperity and well-being of our country in the future.

The speakers addressed these matters in their remarks and expressed words of gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag and the Arkadagly Hero Serdar for their tireless efforts aimed at ensuring the continued prosperity of our independent and neutral state of Turkmenistan.
