Turkmen athletes won nine medals at the Asian Belt Wrestling Championship held in Fergana, Uzbekistan. Our compatriots secured three bronze medals in the classical belt wrestling discipline and three gold and three bronze medals in freestyle belt wrestling.

In the freestyle belt wrestling competition, which featured over 200 athletes from 15 countries, Shatlyk Durdygulyyev (68 kg), Hekim Tashliyev (100 kg) and Annagurban Allaberdiyev (over 100 kg) took first place. Bronze medals were won by Palvan Babadjanov (57 kg), Hekim Nurberdiyev (62 kg) and Murad Janmammedov (82 kg).

At the Asian Championship for classical belt wrestling, where 200 athletes from 10 countries competed for medals, Hekim Tashliyev ( 100 kg), Hojanazar Annayev (75 kg) and Batyr Hemrayev (82 kg) won bronze medals.
