The Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan recently hosted the Asian Armwrestling and Para-Armwrestling Championship. The major sporting event brought together over 500 athletes representing 17 nations from across the continent.

Turkmen athletes delivered a stellar performance, securing a diverse haul of medals. Rovshen Chopanov, Vepa Ezizmuhammedov and Azim Nurmuhammedov claimed silver spots on the podium, while Ahmet Pirogov took home a bronze medal.

Furthermore, at a conference held on the sidelines of the championship, Ahmet Pirogov and Rovshen Chopanov successfully reconfirmed their status as international-tier referees. This certification grants them the right to officiate at the upcoming World Championship, scheduled to take place in India.
