The first day of the games at the International Tournament Ashgabat open 2024 that started in the Turkmen capital was very successful for Turkmen tennis players. The competition is taking place in the Tennis Complex of the Olympic town. 63 athletes under 14 years old (35 boys and 28 girls) from 12 countries - Great Britain, India, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are competing for the title of the strongest in singles and doubles.

In the men's singles among Turkmen athletes, the following people advanced to the second round: first-seeded Emirhan Rustamov, Yasin Fayzullaev, Ilyas Mammetgulyyev, Aly Geldyev, Erkin Altyyev, Kerimgeldi Velibegov, Alyryza Meredov, Yunus Annamyradov, Eyyupbeg Atajanov, second-seeded Suleyman Hudayberdiyev and Muhammetsapa Serdarov.

In the women's singles, the following Turkmen tennis players successfully completed the first round: Leyli Esenova, Kseniya Sorokina, Safiya Tribunskaya, Selbi Altyyeva, Sahra Garahanova, Sulgun Ishankuliyeva, Imiliya Kambarova, Anna Ponyatova and Aynur Atajanova. The first four seeds Ilima Guseynova, Aylara Kakabayeva, Aynur Annamyradova and Nazli Hudaykulieva, who were bypassed in the first round by the draw, also entered the second round.
