Turkmen athletes performed well at the U15, U20 Asian Wrestling Championships held in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. Wrestlers from Turkmenistan won 1 silver and 4 bronze medals in Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling among juniors U20 and cadets U15.

In Freestyle wrestling Dovletgeldi Myradov won a silver medal in the 86 kg weight category among athletes U20. In the same age category Vatan Annaorazov (74 kg) and Alp Arslan Begenjov (79 kg) won bronze medals.

In the tournament among cadets U15 Meret Durdyyev (44 kg) won a bronze medal in Freestyle wrestling, and Jeyhun Hakberdiyev (52 kg) won a bronze medal in Greco-Roman wrestling.
