The closing ceremony of the International Tennis Tournament Ashgabat Open 2024 among athletes under 14 years old was held in the Turkmen capital, in which representatives of 12 countries of Europe and Asia took part.

For six days in the Tennis Complex of the Olympic town young men and women from Great Britain, India, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan fought an exciting battle in singles and doubles not only for medals of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF), under the auspices of which the competitions were held, but also for the opportunity to improve their rating.

The doubles competition, in which 16 pairs of young men and 14 pairs of girls took part, ended with a convincing victory for Turkmen tennis players. Representatives of the national tennis school in both types of the program reached the final and played for the first two places.

At the end of the matches an award ceremony was held, during which the winners and prize-winners of the tournament were awarded medals and certificates of the Asian Tennis Federation, and valuable gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, as well as from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, or People's Council, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

According to the results of four types of the program of the tournament Ashgabat Open 2024 our compatriots took 8 prize places. The current achievements of Turkmen tennis players are the result of the great attention paid to the development of sports in Turkmenistan.
