Currently, our Homeland is achieving remarkable success in national sports. Not only are significant achievements being made, but preparations are also actively underway for upcoming major sports competitions, championships, cup tournaments, as well as the Olympic and Asian Games.

During the latest meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, a report was presented to the esteemed President on the progress of preparing Turkmen athletes for the XXXIV Summer Olympic Games and the XVIII Summer Paralympic Games, which will be held in 2028 in Los Angeles, USA.

The report highlighted the ongoing work to prepare the national teams for major sports competitions, including the Olympic and Paralympic Games. It was proposed that the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan establish an organizational group and arrange training sessions and gatherings for various sports at the Olympic Village facilities in Ashgabat and the sports complex in the "Awaza" National Tourist Zone.

Following the President's instructions at the meeting to ensure that national athletes successfully compete in the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, comprehensive preparations have begun with renewed enthusiasm and spirit. In line with the directives given at the meeting, work consultations were held across various government sectors, and specific tasks were assigned to relevant institutions, including the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan and its subordinate structures.
