Turkmenistan will host an international ice hockey tournament on April 15-20 this year. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the relevant Resolution at the government meeting.

The document authorises the State Committee for Physical Education and Sports of Turkmenistan to hold an international ice hockey tournament at the winter sports complex in Ashgabat on April 15-20, 2024.

The Resolution states that the tournament is aimed at further strengthening friendship, brotherhood and good neighbourliness among nations, popularising physical activity and sports, promoting a healthy lifestyle in society, widely involving the younger generation in sports, as well as raising the international prestige of Turkmen sport.
