The first spring month of 2024 will be marked for Turkmen ice hockey players by two important events – the participation of the national teams in the World U18 and Adult Junior Championships Division III.

On February 13, the Turkmenistan ice hockey team will go to Minsk to hold training sessions at the Raubichi multifunctional sports complex, Neutral Turkmenistan Newspaper reported.

Turkmenistan will be represented for the first time at the World U18 Junior Championships Division III. The World Championships will take place in Cape Town on March 4-8. South Africa, Thailand and Hong Kong are the rivals of Turkmenistan in the group. A victory will let the teams qualify for Division II.

The World Men’s Championships Division III be held in Bishkek on March 8-16. Together with Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Luxembourg, Thailand and South Africa will compete for a qualification to Division II.
