A guest of honour at the Education and Sport in the Epoch of Might and Happiness Conference, a well-known Russian tennis player Mikhail Yuzhny held a master class for young tennis players from Turkmenistan on the tennis court of the Ashgabat multifunctional stadium.

There were a lot of people on the court and the spectator stands; the master held the master classes for boys and girls. He demonstrated the tactical aspects of the game. He also held a press conference in the conference hall of the stadium and answered the questions not only from journalists, but also from young tennis players, their coaches and numerous tennis fans.

The Russian guest willingly answered various questions coming from all sides.  Talking about his visit to our country, he said, “The development of tennis in Turkmenistan has left a very good impression. I am very happy for your young people who have excellent opportunities for practicing this sport.”

Speaking at the press conference, General Secretary of the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan Eziz Dovletov said, “Negotiations on the development of mechanisms for cooperation with a group of coaches led by Mikhail Yuzhny in this sphere are underway with the aim of exchanging experiences and engaging the Russian specialists to train Turkmen tennis players.”

The Russian tennis player signed cards and photos with great pleasure for to the children who had gathered there.

The Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy and the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan organized the event.
