World Conference on Doping in Sport strarts its work

On November 5, the World Conference on Doping in Sport started its work in the Polish city of Katowice. This was reported on the official website of the World Anti-Doping Agency WADA (www.wada.-ama.org). 1,700 delegates, specialists from around the world, including from Turkmenistan, are attending the conference.

Turkmenistan is represented at the forum by Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan Gulmurad Agamuradov, Head of the Department of the Ministry Ata Akmamedov and Head of the National Anti-Doping Agency of Turkmenistan Resul Charyev.

The agenda of the international forum covers a wide range of issues, revision and amendments to the Anti-Doping Code, optimization of a number of international anti-doping standards, staffing issues, the appointment of the new head of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), etc.

The World Anti-Doping Conference will work till November 7.
