Turkmen karate athlete won a gold medal at a tournament in the UAE

Turkmen athlete Jora Ovezmyradov won a gold medal at an international tournament held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Dubai International Doka Cup 2026 was conducted under the auspices of the World Karate Federation (WKF) and brought together about 700 athletes from 18 countries.

Jora Ovezmyradov earned the highest award in the kumite event in the 55 kg weight category.

Prestigious competitions provide young athletes with an excellent opportunity to gain experience. Jora Ovezmyradov's successful performance is yet another example of the extensive conditions created in our country for practicing various sports.
