Students of the capital’s School for Training Young Olympians visited the Olympic Complex in Ashgabat. The event was organized with the support of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, The TDH reports.
As is well known, the Olympic Complex in the capital became the center for the successful hosting of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in 2017. The students of the School for Training Young Olympians expressed sincere gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the opportunities being created, noting that it was a great honor for them to familiarize themselves with the sports facilities of the complex.
The visit began at the Olympic Complex Museum, where Vice President of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, R.Bazarov, provided the young visitors with detailed information about the organization and distinctive features of the Asian Games held in Ashgabat, which included competitions in 21 sports disciplines.
Participants were also informed about the preparation and hosting of international tournaments conducted at the facilities of the complex.
The group then visited the 45,000-seat Olympic Stadium, where they observed a training session of FC Arkadag, which is preparing for its AFC Champions League Two Round of 16 match against Al Nassr Club of Saudi Arabia.
The players of FC Arkadag interacted with the students and presented them with commemorative gifts.
