From October 7 to 12, 2025, the city of Tashkent hosted the Kickboxing World Cup. This major international tournament brought together about 2,300 athletes from 38 countries around the world.

Athletes of the national and youth teams of Turkmenistan performed successfully at these international competitions, winning a total of 12 medals — 1 gold, 2 silver, and 9 bronze.
Fourth-year students of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, Kerwennazar Halnayev and Eziz Meredov, became bronze medalists.

The successful performances of Turkmen athletes clearly demonstrate the steady growth of athletes’ training levels and the successful implementation of state policy aimed at the development of sports in the country.
