The players of «Arkadag» were awarded the trophy and medals for winning the 2025 Turkmenistan Football Federation Cup.
The trophy was handed to the captain of football club «Arkadag» Ahmet Atayev by the second vice-chairman of the Turkmenistan Football Federation, Nazar Choliyev, and the General Secretary of the TFF, Serdar Geldiyev.
In the final, 5th round, Vladimir Bayramov's team defeated «Ashgabat.» The match, held in the Babarap Gengeshlik of the Geoktepe district, ended with a score of 4-0. For the winners, Begench Akmammedov scored a brace (25th-minute penalty, 35th minute), while Shanarar Tyrkishov (29th minute) and Enver Annaev (90th minute) each added a goal.
«Arkadag» has now won its sixth trophy in two years. Previously, the team secured two championship titles, two Cups, and one Super Cup.
In March, «Arkadag» will face the Indian club «East Bengal» in the AFC Challenge League quarterfinals. The matches are scheduled for March 5 and 13.
Notably, the silver and bronze medals of the Turkmenistan Football Federation Cup were awarded to «Ahal» and «Merv,» respectively. Their final-round match ended in a 1-1 draw. Ibrahim Amangeldiyev scored for «Ahal,» while «Merv» equalized due to an own goal by Alibek Abdurakhmanov.
