Turkmen tennis players beat teams from Chinese Macau and Mongolia with the same score 2:1 at the Davis Cup Zonal Tournament that started in Isa Town, Bahrain.

Our compatriots are playing in Group V of the Asia/Oceania Zone, in which 15 teams divided into four groups are fighting for promotion.

The Turkmenistan team got into the strongest group B at the tournament together with teams from the Philippines, Chinese Macau and Mongolia.

The composition of the other groups: A – Guam, Nepal, Brunei; C – Northern Mariana Islands, Laos, Maldives, Bhutan; D – Bahrain, Yemen, Bangladesh, Tajikistan.

The group winners will advance to the playoffs, the two winners of which will have the right to play in Group IV of the Asia/Oceania Zone next year.

In the next match the Turkmen tennis players will play against the Philippines team, which won with the same score 3:0 against the teams of Mongolia and Chinese Macau.
