In our beloved country, under the wise leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, large-scale events are being held in the field of developing physical education and sports, strengthening a healthy lifestyle in society and international cooperation in this area. Evidence of this was the International Exhibition Healthcare, Education and Sports in the Era of the Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State and a scientific conference within its framework that opened on October 9. The venue for them was the Olympic Village in Ashgabat.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry jointly with the Ministry of Education, the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan, was attended by members of the Government, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in our country, respected elders, heads and representatives of ministries and departments, medical scientific and clinical centers, the Academy of Sciences, public organizations, educational institutions, the media, health workers, as well as participants in the opening ceremonies of the International Health and Rehabilitation Center and the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology. Musical performances by creative groups added a festive mood to the event.
With great enthusiasm the audience listened to the Address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, sent to the participants of the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference Healthcare, Education and Sports in the Era of the Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State. As emphasized in the message of the head of state, today the national system of healthcare, education and sports, where significant progress is observed, has significantly strengthened its basis, which is largely due to the measures taken to implement fundamental reforms and introduce best practices. Targeted work in this area is carried out in cooperation with the world's leading specialized centers.
The President of the country also emphasized in his message that we attach great importance to the development of physical education and sports, since they are a source of health, have enormous power that consolidates society and the state. "Considering that Turkmenistan is a member of the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia, we will continue to strengthen its authority as a sports power, as well as popularize sports in the world, recognized as an ambassador of peace," the President's congratulatory message says.
The monitor installed in the center of the exhibition area of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports shows videos telling about the multifaceted activities carried out in the country under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to strengthen the health of the nation, introduce Turkmen citizens to a healthy lifestyle, physical education and sports.
