Turkmen kickboxers won 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals at the WAKO World Youth Championship in Budapest, Hungary.

The competition brought together more than 3,100 athletes from 69 countries. The Turkmen team was represented by 17 athletes, five of whom successfully performed in the kick-light and full contact with low kick sections.

Jasurbek Akhmedov won all four victories and became the world champion in the weight category up to 37 kg. Serdar Bekenov became the silver medalist in the weight category up to 51 kg. Imamguly Rejebov, Salamathan Baltaev and Nepes Byashimov took advantage of the bronze medals.
