The Traditional Karate Championship of Ashgabat was held on February 10–11. Athletes competed for 56 medals at the tournament. The karatekas of the Döwletli team of the sports school 1 of the Ashgabat Main Department on Physical Culture and Sports won 27 medals (7 gold, 4 silver, 16 bronze medals) and took the first place in the team event.

The Selim team of the same sports school became the runner-up. The Diýar team of the sports school 4 of the Ashgabat Main Department on Physical Culture and Sports entered the top three.

A boxing tournament was held by the Young Olympians School of the State Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan and the sports school 1 of the Ashgabat Main Department on Physical Culture and Sports on February 7–10. Over 120 athletes took part in the competition held at the Young Olympians School. The representatives of this sports school competed successfully in the tournament. Isa Azadov (50 kg) and Ismail Orazmyradov (63 kg) won the first places. Arslan Parahadov (57 kg) and Davut Soyunov (+80 kg) became the runners-up. Agageldi Selimov took the third place in the 75-kilogramme weight class event.

The winners received the certificates of honour and medals.
