The 2024 Olympics and 2024 Paralympics medals were unveiled at the headquarters of the Paris 2024 Organising Committee.
Unlike 36,600 medals that have been awarded since the first modern Olympics in Athens in 1896, all of the 2024 Games medals – gold, silver and bronze – will contain a piece of metal that was once part of the Eiffel Tower, which is symbol of Paris and all of France.
According to President of the Paris 2024 Organising Committee Tony Estanguet, this decision came from a desire to make these objects unique and singular.
Chaumet, a high-end jewellery brand and a company known throughout the world for its amazing jewellery, is to realise this idea.
