The Turkmenistan Youth Physical Culture and Sports Organisation of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan continues to hold sporting events of the XII Universiade “Turkmenistan – the Country of Health and High Spirit”.
University students are involved in sports rivalries at higher educational institutions. The sports programme comprises swimming, athletics, volleyball (girls), badminton (boys and girls), duzzum (boys and girls), checkers (boys and girls), table tennis (boys and girls), streetball-basketball 3x3 (boys and girls), sambo (boys) and Greco-Roman wrestling (boys). Students also compete in the billiards and football tournaments.
Students of secondary educational institutions and schoolchildren from Ashgabat do not lag behind their older comrades. They participate in the XII Sports Games “Turkmenistan – the Country of Health and High Spirit”. This sports relay has a similarly diverse programme of tournaments.
The teaching staffs no less recklessly compete in various sporting events supporting young people.
