An athlete from Turkmenistan stood on the podium of the World Youth and Junior Sambo Championships, held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). A graduate of the Olimp secondary sports school from Ashgabat Yenish Taganov, who performed in the under 81 kg weight category, showed good results and won a bronze medal.  

The international competition of young sambo wrestlers took place at the Uzbekistan sports complex in Tashkent. Competing for the medals of the tournament, boys and girls from different countries of the world demonstrated their skills in the breath-taking bouts.

A Turkmen sambo wrestler Yenish Taganov, who is currently a student at Turkmen State Institute of Economy and Management, studies and works hard, so that the bronze medal he has won among his peers won’t be the last one in his career. Currently, the bronze medallist of the World Youth Championships is preparing physically and functionally for future tournaments. Together with other wrestlers, he will represent our country at the 2020 World Sambo Championships in Ashgabat. We wish him good luck and every success.
