The phrase «We are going to Turkmenistan!» has become very popular these days among futsal players because it has become a reality for them to come to Turkmenistan for the 2020 AFC Futsal Championship, which will be held in Ashgabat. Special attention is given to this phrase on the official website of the Football Federation of Tajikistan. Because they are known on the continent as one of the best futsal teams and, seeded with the teams of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan in the group, have gained the right to come to Turkmenistan.

The qualifying tournament is nearing completion. The Turkmenistan national team, as the host of the final tournament, is automatically qualified for the AFC Futsal Championships regardless of qualification results.

The teams of Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Oman, China and Japan that are the winners in their regional groups will play in the final tournament of the AFC Futsal Championships.
