As is known, Ashgabat will host the AFC Futsal Championships between February 24 and March 10, 2020. Currently, the qualification tournaments for the right to play in the Championships are taking place.

The Kuwait national team that performs in the qualifying tournament in the West Zone won 9 points in three matches and was the first to qualify for the final tournament of the AFC Futsal Championships.

Football players from the Kuwait national team fought for the place in the Championships in Group A they defeated the Palestine national team 7:1 (16.10.2019), the Iraq national team 4:1 (16.10.2019) and the UAE national team 4:1 (17.10.2019).

As was reported, the Kuwait national team made a draw in a friendly match with the Turkmenistan national team.
