The World Athletics Championships closed in the capital of Qatar, as reported by the International Association of Athletics Federations on the official website.

The USA national team topped the medal table of the most prestigious tournament in Doha; it won 29 medals (14 gold, 11 silver and 4 bronze).

Kenya with 5 gold medals, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals ranks second, and Jamaica with 3 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals ranks third.

About 2,000 athletes from 209 countries performed at the World Athletics Championships in Doha. The representatives of 43 teams stood on the podium in Qatar.

The two-time bronze medallist of the 2018 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in the pentathlon and the 4x400 m relay Irina Velihanova (Turkmenistan) competed in the 100m hurdles on October 5.
