The Agama mountaineering club from Ashgabat organises an annual race and hiking event of Mount Harlasang (1,643 m) of the Dushak-Erikdag ridge, as reported by www.orient.tm.

The sporting event, dedicated to World Tourism Day and the Independence Day of Turkmenistan, has become a good tradition among the club members.

The race will be held in two stages, one for professionals who run against the clock. The result will be recorded in the ratings of the Turkmenistan Skyrunning Cup.

The second stage is intended for amateurs, including teenagers and members of the older age group.

The Agama mountaineering club was restructured from the Edelweiss mountaineering club in Ashgabat in 1993
