The World Weightlifting Championships finished in the largest resort city of Thailand, Pattaya on September 27, 2019.
R. Rejepov showed the best result at the tournament among the Turkmen weightlifters. He ranked fourth in the under 81-kg weight category. In total, R. Rejepov lifted 363 kilograms (164 kg in the snatch event and 199 kg in the clean and jerk event). In 2018, Rejepbay Rejepov stopped a step to the podium at the World Championships in Ashgabat.
The China team heavily dominated in the medal table of the World Weightlifting Championships. It won 18 medals – 10 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 3 bronze medals.
