Chairman of the Hockey Federation of Belarus Gennadi Savilov and Chairman of the Hockey Federation of Turkmenistan Jora Hudaiberdyev attended the ceremony of signing the Memorandum of Cooperation between HFB and HFT.
The document is aimed at promoting long-term relations between the two Federations through an exchange of information and an exchange of experience in organising international tournaments, including under the auspices of IIHF, and the organisation and holding of international hockey tournaments for junior and youth teams (including girls teams).
In accordance with the Memorandum, HFB will provide consultation on the development of regulatory documents for national hockey championships and assist in training sports specialists from Turkmenistan at the junior and youth schools and professional hockey clubs in the Republic of Belarus.
The Hockey Federation of Turkmenistan became a full member of the International Ice Hockey Federation on May 15, 2015. Turkmenistan national team performs in Group A of the IIHF World Championship Division III in the men’s rankings.
