The first day of the autumn racing season began with an endurance test of young jockeys. Ten horse racing events, involving 12 horses each, were held on that day. These included eight 1000 m races and two 1200 m races.
The master jockeys competed on that day as well. The horses aged 3, 4 years and over appeared on the race tracks at the Ashgabat Equestrian Sport Centre. They competed in the 1600, 1800, 2200 and 2400 m races.
After the autumn racing season had opened, the racing events were held in the velayats.
The events took place at the hippodrome near Balkanabat and at the equestrian sport complexes in Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary velayat; the horses from different regions of the above-mentioned regions took part in the competition. Gifts and valuable prizes were presented to the horses and jockeys who won the races.
