As is known, the capital of Turkmenistan will host the World Track Cycling Championships in 2021. Currently, the work on the organisation of the tournament, including physical and functional preparation of Turkmen sportsmen for the world championships, is being carried out. It should be noted that Turkmen athletes have recently received special sports equipment for professional training. These devices allow autonomously and automatically monitor all the aspects of physical condition of a cyclist and record the results he shows. This innovation in the training process will certainly give our sportsmen an impetus to achieve high results.

According to the organizers, one of the important stages of preparation for the World Track Cycling Championships is the Turkmenistan Track Cycling Championships, which will be held at the track cycling sport centre of the Ashgabat Olympic Town from 21 to 23 September. The tournament is to mark the remarkable date – the 28th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan.

After the championships conclude, its results, on which the final composition of the Turkmenistan national team will be based, will be summed up.

Athletes from Ashgabat and the regions are expected to perform at the national championships.
