From March 1 to March 6, 2026, with the support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey, members of the fan club of the Arkadag Football Club carried out an ascent to Mount Agrı, the highest point of Turkey, The Golden age electronic newspaper reports.

This initiative was dedicated to the proclamation of 2026 under the motto “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Determined Winged Horses,” as well as to the 35th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan.

The expedition was led by an experienced mountaineer and head of the group, Agajan Ovlyakulyev. Over the course of six days, the participants overcame difficult sections of the route and the challenging climatic conditions of the high mountains, demonstrating a high level of preparation, unity, and determination.

Upon reaching the summit of Mount Agrı at an altitude of 5,137 meters, the State Flag of Turkmenistan, the logo of the FC Arkadag, and the logo of the Year 2026 were ceremoniously unfurled. This symbolic act became an expression of respect for national values, sporting achievements, and commitment to the ideals of peace, friendship, and cooperation among nations.
