Turkmen judokas have completed their performances at the 2024 Olympics

Turkmen judokas have completed their performances at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

On July 28 Serdar Rahimov had two fights in the 66 kg weight category. In the first of them he defeated Edmilson Pedro from Angola, and in the 1/8 finals he lost to silver medalist Willian Lima (Brazil).

On July 29 a student of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports Maysa Pardayeva won the first 57 kg weight class match against Chinese Cai Qi, and lost in the 1/8 finals to 32-year-old more experienced Brazilian Rafaela Silva.

20-year-old Serdar Rahimov was entrusted with the right to become the flag bearer of the Turkmen national team at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games. He won gold medal at the Dushanbe Grand Slam 2024 tournament in Tajikistan, and 19-year-old Maysa Pardayeva was awarded a bronze medal at the Antalya Grand Slam 2024 tournament in Turkey.

Both Turkmen judokas are still young and therefore we can hope that they will achieve many more victories on the world stage.
