On July 24 the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games started in Paris with men's football and Rugby Sevens competitions. On the same day Turkmen athletes in the French capital held their first training sessions.
In the first half of the day, the Olympic pool was tested by the master of sports of international class Musa Zhalayev, who competes in the 100-meter freestyle, and the master of sports of Turkmenistan Aynura Primova, who will start at the 2024 Olympics in the 100-meter backstroke. According to the mentor of our swimmers Dmitry Novikov, his wards will train twice a day before the starts on July 29 in the women's 100-meter backstroke and on July 30 in the men's 100-meter freestyle swimming.
Track and field athlete Valentina Meredova, who is to start at the 2024 Olympics in the 100-meter run, also began to prepare for the competition.
In the afternoon the judokas also started their first training sessions. In this sport our team is represented by Serdar Rahimov (weight category 66 kg) and Maysa Pardayeva (57 kg).
