Turkmen athletes have won one gold and ten bronze medals at the 13th Asian Kurash Championships in Tehran.

Some 200 wrestlers from 20 countries participated in the tournament. The Turkmenistan team was represented by 14 athletes.

Ayshirin Haydarova, coach of the 2nd Sports School of the Chardzhev etrap of the Main Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Lebap region, won the gold medal in women's 48 kg weight category.

Bronze medals were awarded in the women's tournament to Rozymengli Meymanova (52 kg), Nurana Hezretova (63 kg), Sabina Kadyrova (78 kg) and Nursoltan Erniyazova (87 kg), and in the men's tournament to Serdar Babamyradov (60 kg), Dovlet Hemrakulyyev (66 kg), Mekan Pardabayev (73 kg), Dayanch Omirov (81 kg), Ylham Kemalov (90 kg) and Ishanmyrat Atayev (100 kg).
