The international chess tournament Dubai Global Chess Challenge 2024 ended in the United Arab Emirates. In the competition, 350 chess players from 42 countries competed for the title of the strongest in various age categories.

In the category Youth, where young people under the age of 18 competed, the champion of Turkmenistan among girls under 14 from Turkmenabat Jahan Rejepova (FIDE rating – 1812), having scored 6.5 points out of 9 possible, showed the best result among participants under 14 years old. And in the general group among 18-years old, our compatriot took 8th place among 92 applicants for awards. On her way to success Jahan won over representatives of India, Philippines and United Arab Emirates.
