The second round matches of the International Ice Hockey Tournament in Ashgabat were played, TDH reports.

In the afternoon, Bahrain Ice Hockey Club (Bahrain) and Ice Box Iran Mall (Iran) played a Group A match. The first period ended in a draw 1-1. However, the Iranian hockey players seized the initiative in the two periods and gained a major victory 8-1 (1-1, 4-0, 3-0).

A Group B match between Akmola (Kazakhstan) and Dordoi (Kyrgyzstan) took place on the small arena of the Winter Sports Complex. The Kyrgyz team got ahead three times. However, the Kazakh team swung the game in the third period and gained a strong-willed victory 5-3 (1-2, 1-0, 3-1).

As was reported, the eight-time Turkmenistan champion Galkan crushed Oman Nationals from Oman with a 15-1 record (4-0, 1-0, 10-1). Belarusian Volat beat 3-0 (1-0, 0-0, 2-0) Team-Turkiye in another Group B match.

Galkan with 6 points took the lead in Group A after two rounds.

Akmola (Kazakhstan) with 6 points and 2 victories is in the lead in Group B.
