The Boxing Championship of Turkmenistan for the athletes born in 2006-2007 was organized by the State Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan. Over 150 boxers from all regions of the country took part in the tournament held at the Kopetdag Sports Complex named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi the Great in Ashgabat.

According to the results of the Championship, the athletes from Ashgabat, namely, Resul Arslanov (48 kg), Shanur Artykbayev (51 kg), Meylis Shadurdyev (54 kg), Mekan Sabyrov (57 kg), Ysmail Gurbanberdyev (60 kg), Shukuralla Annayev (71 kg), Abdyrahman Yklymov (80 kg), Ashyrgeldi Nuryagdyev (86 kg) and Mustapa Muhammetdurdyev (92 kg), triumphed at the tournament.

The performances of boxers Annageldi Jumamyradov (63.5 kg) and Maksat Hochiyev (67 kg) from Mary Velayat and Lebap Velayat, respectively, brought them gold medals. Samandar Haytbayev (75 kg) and Mekan Durdyev (+92 kg), representing Dashoguz Velayat, had no equal at the tournament.

Thus, the team of Ashgabat took the first place in the team standing. The athletes of Dashoguz Velayat and Lebap Velayat won the second and third places, respectively.

The winners of the tournament were awarded with the letters of honour and medals from the State Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan and the Boxing Federation of Turkmenistan.
