Our compatriot, a freestyle wrestler Alp Arslan Begenjov won a bronze medal at the International Victory Cup & Champions Tournaments, held in Antalya, the Republic of Türkiye. The 16-year-old athlete achieved this success in the 74-kilogramme weight class event. The international tournaments held in Antalya gathered about 350 athletes from all over the world.

In this context, it should be noted that Alp Arslan Begenjov had no equal at the Constantin Alexandru & Ioan W.Popovici international tournaments (U17) in Romania in 2022 and 2023. The Turkmen wrestler won a gold medal at the 2022 Asian Cadet Championships in the 65-kilogramme weight class event. Our compatriot earned a bronze medal at the 2023 Asian Championships in the 71-kilogramme weight class event.
