On February 21, 2024, the official opening ceremony of the International Phygital Tournament Games of the Future – 2024 took place in Kazan. It is the largest event in the world of physical sports.

“The Games of the Future have brought together more than 2,000 athletes from 107 countries, including Turkmenistan, at Kazan Expo – the largest multi-sports venue. The participants will compete in 21 sports disciplines. Turkmen athletes will perform in 2 sports disciplines (football and basketball). The total prize fund is $10 million.

The opening ceremony of the Games of the Future was held in the format of an interactive show, during which the organisers and participants demonstrated the advanced technologies in the sports and game industry to the audience. At the end of the show, the guests were invited into a “revived history” of the birth of phygital sports – the organisers told fans about the phygital movement in an animated laser show.

The individual and group starts of the Games of the Future will begin in Kazan today, February 22.
