The U18 3x3 Basketball Championship of Turkmenistan has been recently held at the Ashgabat Multipurpose Stadium. 18 teams took part in the tournament on February 10–11. The team of Ashgabat took the first place. The players of Lebap Velayat won the second place, and the team of Balkan Velayat entered the top three.

The winning team included Islam Agabalayev, a representative of the sports school 9 of the Ashgabat Main Department on Physical Culture and Sports. Berdi Atahanov, a coach of the school, prepared the athlete for the tournament. Successful performance of the player at the tournament provoked pride of the school staff. As is known, great success has been achieved in the development of physical culture and high-level sports. The sports school looks forward to make a worthy contribution to the successful development of the Turkmen sports.

Our compatriots firmly believe that young athletes will enhance the international sports prestige of Turkmenistan with their results at large tournaments.
