The first months of the Year “The Fount of the Wisdom of Magtymguly Fraghi” became the responsible period for the national judo team to prepare for the important sporting events. In preparation for the upcoming World Championships, the team takes part in international tournaments and other competitions and holds training sessions.

The Turkmenistan team performed at the European Open, which was held in the Hungarian city of Györ on February 10-11. The team consisted of 8 athletes, 2 coaches and 1 doctor.

  Currently, the team is preparing for the Grand Slam, which will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan on February 24-25 and the European Open, which will be held in Warsaw, Poland on February 24-25.

In preparation for these tournaments, the team is holding training sessions abroad from February 9 to 27.

We hope that the training sessions and participation in major international competitions will be useful for the successful performance of the national team at the World Judo Championships, which will be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE in May this year.
