It should be noted that the Turkmen national games have a great impact on the healthy education of the younger generations and their proper mental development. Children love these games. To date, the national games decorate the festive events and celebrations in Turkmenistan and enjoy particular popularity thanks to the concern of the President of Turkmenistan and our Hero-Arkadag.
This work has resulted in the Ashgabat Championship in takylatdy, one of the oldest national games. The tournament has been held recently at the Specialized Chess and Checkers School of the Ashgabat Main Department on Physical Culture and Sports. The competition was very close.
Muhammet Rejepov, a 10th grader of the specialized secondary school 130, took the first place in the boys’ event. Orazmyrat Atayev, a 6th grader of the specialized secondary school 132, became the runner-up. Resul Gundogdyev, an 11th grader of the specialized secondary school 28, entered the top three.
Nazli Rejepova, an 8th grader of the specialized secondary school 130, had no equals in the girls’ event. Tazegul Kulyeva, an 8th grader of the specialized secondary school 30, won the second place. Gulalek Shamuhammedova, an 11th grader of the specialized secondary school 68, took the third place on the podium.
The winners of the tournament were awarded medals and certificates of honour from the Ashgabat Main Department on Physical Culture and Sports.
