The closing ceremony of the 19th Asian Summer Games took place in Hangzhou, China, where the Olympic Council of Asia handed over its flag to the Japanese city of Aichi-Nagoya. It will host the next Asian Games.
The hosts are the absolute leader of the tournament: China won 383 medals: 201 gold, 111 silver and 71 bronze. Japan ranked second in the medal tally with 188 medals: 52 gold, 67 silver and 69 bronze. The top three teams of the tournament included by the Republic of Korea with 190 medals: 42 gold, 59 silver and 89 bronze.
The Hangzhou Asian Games were a success, having brought together over 11,000 athletes from 45 countries. The Games were organized well, and all athletes showed excellent results.
