As was reported, the Turkmenistan national team is currently participating in the 19th Asian Summer Games in the Chinese city of Hangzhou. The athletes from our country have been competing in the Asian Summer Games with the best teams of the continent since 1994.
The Turkmen sports squad performs in 12 sports. A judoka Maysa Pardaeva won the first medal, a bronze in the under 57 kg category for the Turkmenistan team. Maysa is a student from Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.
The kurash wrestlers supported the judoka’s achievement. Tejen Tejenov is a silver medallist in the over 90 kg category of the Asian Summer Games , and Ainur Amanova earned a bronze medal in the under 52 kg category. A boxer Bayramdurdy Nurmuhammedov reached the semi-finals in the under 71 kg category, and thus he secured at least a bronze medal for himself. This is a great achievement of the student from Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.
TheTurkmen athletes continue performing at the Games. We hope for their success in other sports disciplines. The Hangzhou Asian Summer Games will close on October 8, 2023.
