The 2023 World Kurash Championships will take place in the capital of Turkmenistan in November 2023.

In order to ensure the high level of organisation of the tournament, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution authorising to establish the Organising Committee of the World Championships and approving its composition.

In 2003, the Olympic Council of Asia recognised kurash as an official sport.

The 2022 World Kurash Championship took place in the Indian city of Pune in November.
