On June 29,2023, with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov a solemn opening ceremony of the new city – Arkadag City was held.
The construction of this new city in all senses was initiated and supported by National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
This city is the center of innovative technologies and scientific urban planning trends of the XXI century.
The Arkadag City Project represents synthesis of scientific and technological solutions and modern IT technologies used in construction of the «smart» city.
This «smart» city is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities and has a single database. Its construction was carried out in accordance with the requirements of environmental safety, the concept of which is based on the integration of smart systems with environmentally friendly technologies, including such public transports as electric buses and electric vehicles.
Today, all citizens of independent neutral Turkmenistan feel great pride in their hearts for the social and economic reforms which are in progress in the country.
An obvious confirmation of those reforms is «smart» Arkadag City – the city aspiring for the future.
