On June 3, a large-scale bike ride marking World Bicycle Day took place in the capital city. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the action.
The heads of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, representatives of the media, public organisations, higher education institutions, students and workers of various sectors of the national economy participated in the sport action.
The President of Turkmenistan launched a large-scale bike ride and led the column of participants. The route ran at the picturesque foothills of the homeland.
Large-scale bike rides marking World Bicycle Day, initiated by the Hero-Arkadag, now successfully continue under the leadership of Arkadagly Serdar.
On June 3, World Bicycle Day is widely celebrated as a national holiday in all the velayats of the country.
