Aynur Amanova, a multiply national wrestling champion, wins medals at each international tournament she takes part in. Aynur was inspired to start with sports by Shirin Kubayeva, an experienced specialist widely known in the country. Thanks to this coach, the athlete entered the world of sports at the age of 8.
Owing to tireless training sessions, Aynur triumphed at the regional and national tournaments. In 2009, she won a gold medal at international competitions, namely, at the judo tournament in Moscow. Aynur earned a bronze medal in the kurash wrestling event at the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, held in the Turkmen capital in 2017. Two years later, the athlete triumphed at the 2019 World Kurash Wrestling Championship. It should be noted that Aynur became the first world champion in kurash wrestling from Turkmenistan.
Later on, she won many medals at international competitions. The athlete has recently earned a bronze medal at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, the People's Republic of China.
To date, Aynur Amanova is a coach at the Turkmenabat sports school 7. These days, representatives of the national team of Turkmenistan, who will take part in the 2023 World Kurash Wrestling Championship, prepare at the multipurpose sports complex in the city of Arkadag. Experienced specialist Shirin Kubayeva coaches eight athletes who will compete in this prestigious tournament.
Aynur Amanova noted, ‘the World Championship to be held in the capital of our country will bring together the strongest wrestlers. We intensively prepare for the tournament. My dream is a gold medal. We express our sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the excellent conditions for training in the city of Arkadag’.
