On the way to Olympic success

To date, our national schools in all modes of sports achieve great accomplishments. This fact was confirmed by a silver medal of the Turkmen athlete Polina Guryeva at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. And now our athletes are looking forward to another important tournament – the 2024 Summer Olympics to be held in Paris, France.

Great work is underway to prepare the athletes of the national team of Turkmenistan for the major sports festival. The specialists of the State Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan are the experts of other ministries and departments do their best to prepare the national team teams of Turkmenistan for the XXXIII Summer Olympic and XVII Paralympic Games. They implement the prepared training programme and its plan of actions to provide successful participation in these international sports events to be held in Paris in 2024.

Thanks to the effective training sessions organized by the State Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan and the national federations of the country, the athletes of the national teams of Turkmenistan actively prepare for the upcoming Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. They are provided with excellent conditions and opportunities to boost preparation. It is complemented by the training sessions conducted in the Olympic Village, located in a beautiful corner of the Turkmen capital, and in the Gokdere Valley, as well as by the large international events.

The national teams of Turkmenistan in nine sports will take part in the major sports festival. Judo and swimming are among those sports; and the training sessions in these sports are of a very high quality. The intensive training sessions conducted in the Olympic Village, which forms a perfect basis for our national sports, increase the confidence of the Turkmen judokas and swimmers. To date, our compatriots compete in the most prestigious tournaments to qualify for the Paris Olympics.

We believe that the Turkmen athletes will perform successfully at the Paris Olympics and wish them success in their bids to qualify for this major sports festival.
